Get event by ID

GET 
/api/v2/events/:eventId

Returns a single event by its id. Use expand to embed sport, competition, and participants inline.

The response is a bare EventDTO object (no data wrapper), consistent with the other single-resource lookups.

Bearer token missing, malformed, or rejected. See the Authentication page for the full list of triggering conditions.

404

Requested resource does not exist (e.g. unknown event ID). Some 404 responses on path-not-found return an empty body. Branch on the status code, not the body. When a body is returned, its path field mirrors the path of the request that failed — the /api/v2/events/... path in the example below is illustrative.

500

Unexpected server-side failure. Retry with exponential backoff; contact your integration manager if the failure persists.
