Get a sport

GET 
/api/v2/sports/:id

Fetch a single sport by its id. Returns the same sport object you get from the list endpoint, including its code. Use this when you already hold a sport id and want its current details.

Requested resource does not exist (e.g. unknown event ID). Some 404 responses on path-not-found return an empty body. Branch on the status code, not the body. When a body is returned, its path field mirrors the path of the request that failed — the /api/v2/events/... path in the example below is illustrative.

Unexpected server-side failure. Retry with exponential backoff; contact your integration manager if the failure persists.
